Abstract
The goal of this research paper is to analyse the religious understanding of secondary school students from Santiago, within the academic context, by identifying: the representation of God students have built and the influence that main players such as family members, pairs, school, teachers, Religion teachers, among others, may have had in the concept of God students have constructed.
For that purpose, a survey has been designed as research instrument. The latter has been applied to 26 schools across the Gran Santiago district. A final sample of 1299 case studies has been retrieved. The research has taken into consideration the distribution of the Chilean educational system. That is to say, data has been retrieved considering percentages from private, subsidized and State-run schools, as well as Religious and laic schools.
In a first stage of results, data about the religious understanding and the concept of God students have constructed, considering whether they come from Catholic or laic schools, has been presented.
